One of my favorite bloggers, Erin, came up with this quiz a few months ago and just the other day she decided to do round two! I loved this idea because I love those quizzes that celebs take in Cosmo magazine so obviously I had to jump on this idea!

Here's to Rambling
Today has been kind of a mess for me. In one of my acting classes, my director had us use emotional recall. He had us walk round the room and as he yelled out different ages, we had to think of things that happened during that time period. And then after about 20 minutes, we all gathered again in a circle and he told us to pull out the most emotionally potent event in our lives that we could think of. For those of you not associated with any kind of acting, emotional recall can put you in a very dark place. Like, I know people that have needed counseling after shows because they became so emotionally invested in their work. So there we were, a group of 20-something year olds SOBBING and then our director says "Okay, now apply that event to a line in your scene", which made things 10x worse. We all stayed behind because none of us really wanted to be alone at that point because some of us had slipped into that deeper phase of emotional recall.
As an actor, I try and make myself emotionally available to the character and the scene and what's happening in the show. But I've never been as invested as I was today, and I NEVER cry in front of people. We all are pretty good friends in the class, but today I know we all became so much closer as a group. Ever since that class today (2:00 this afternoon), I've honestly been a little emotionally screwed up. Luckily it didn't effect my rehearsal, but I still wasn't feeling 100%.

Friday Faves! 2/21/14
This past week, I didn't do my weekly Friday Faves post because it was Blogentines day, so I didn't want do do two bigger posts in one day. So without further ado here's this weeks favorites!

About a year ago I found this bottle at target and I've used it ever since. Mine's in purple (of course) but I couldn't find the purple online anymore. What's great about this bottle is that there are two ways to get into the bottle. The clear part and the color part of the bottle separate so that you can put ice in the cup and so pouring isn't impossible. But then you obviously drink out of the top of the bottle. I've never had a problem with the bottle leaking, so it's perfect to throw in a bag!

I was browsing through Modcloth (one of my all time favorite online stores), and I came across this bag and instantly fell in love. It's a little pricey, but I bought it for myself as a congratulations present to myself for getting a part in the next show were doing at school (yay me!). I'll post pics when it comes in!

I know what you're thinking, "Ugh, more Bath and Body Works!". But I really can't get enough of this spray. I've actually had this one for a while though. I fell in love with the scent this past summer right before it officially launched when we were selling the sample size fragrance mists so of course I bought the full size when it came out. The description is-
"This ultra-feminine scent is a sensual blend of raspberry champagne, gardenia petals and magnolia blossom with a seductive kiss of crystallized amber and creamy vanilla suede"
It's a great scent because it's not too sweet, and it really lasts all day.

I bought these ear buds a while ago just for a pair to keep in my backpack for walking around campus, sitting in the theatre lounge waiting for a class, or listening to Pandora on a computer in the theatre lab (where you can usually find me when not in class). They're pretty good quality and really not expensive at all- retail price at Target (the link I gave) is $14.99, but I think I bought them at my schools bookstore for like, $10.

Mossimo Leather Jacket
I actually bought this jacket on clearance a few months ago, so you can't even find it in most stores anymore, but I wanted to include it because yesterday it was 50 degrees which meant I got a break from wearing my North Face for a while (don't get me wrong- I love my north face, but I was excited to wear something a little more fashion friendly).
I promise I'll be posting more soon, things have been getting pretty busy and I haven't had much inspiration for writing. There will be a review of the bracelet I just received in the mail up soon!

Successful Saturday
Lately the weather, school, rehearsing 6 days a week and work have been really wearing me down and I needed some quality BFF time. So this past Saturday, me and one of my best friends from school had a tiny shopping day (and also had a Valentines lunch at taco bell). After all the work we've done so far this semester, we deserved it.
We started at the local outlet mall where I work because I needed to stop at work, but there were also a few places we wanted to go. We then drove down to a town about a half hour from my house because I needed to get a book for school at Barnes and Noble, so naturally I ended up at Target. Here are some of the things I picked up!
1
Pixi Eyeshadow Palette
I of course ended up in the makeup isles of Target because I needed new eyeliner. But as I walked down one of the isles I noticed this great Pixi Palette on clearance, so I couldn't pass it up because Pixi products are a bit on the expensive side. This palette theme is called "Metallic Magic", and I love it because the colors in here are ones that I use on a pretty regular basis.

Covergirl Bombshell Liquid Eyeliner
I've had the regular liquid eyeliner from Covergirl before and LOVED it. So when CG came out with their new Bombshell line, I got pretty excited. I bought the mascara when it hit the shelves and I loved it. Totally recommend this product!

For Christmas, my parents bought me this adorable mug from Starbucks (you can see it in a lot of my current IG posts), and in the mug were three different coupons- one for buy one coffee, get one free; 20% off and Starbucks Merchanise; and one for a free pastry with any handcrafted beverage. The coupons are only good for a month, and this month's was the 20% off. And when I saw this mug I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

When we were at the outlet mall, I ran into Hot Topic not intending to buy anything. But when I saw this fragrance on the shelf I couldn't help but to sniff it- and I fell in LOVE with it. The bottle itself is beautiful with the rainbow gradient. But the smell is sweet kind of florally. The top photo is the full size bottle, and in the bottom is the matching roller ball to keep in your bag (I mean the whole store was BOGO free, how could I pass it up?)
Also while at HT, I picked up this gem-
HOW COULD I PASS IT UP. It's literally perfect.
How was your weekend?
ps: how cute is my new signature? I drew it myself!

Happy Blogentines day!
Now I've never been a fan of Valentines day (even when I was in a committed relationship), so I loved Jocelyn's idea of a Blogentines day where you dedicate a post to your favorite bloggers! I have a whole list full of bloggers, but I have a few that I'm particularly obsessed with.
Cara
Cara is my favorite California blogger, but we're actually from the same hometown/highschool. She has the cutest blog and she has the most inspirational posts. Not to mention her and her husband Dan are the cutest couple. Sending postitive vibes your way, girl.
Jocelyn
I know I've mentioned her before, but she really is the best. I also know her personally because my ex boyfriend and her boyfriend are best friends. I always know that I can go to her to talk and she'll always have an answer.
Erin
Erin runs the cutest blog, but she also has a design service and designs all of her blog layouts. I love her posts, and I'm pretty sure she's my alcohol-related spirit animal. But all booze aside, I can usually relate to the things she puts in her posts, especially the "Things I Can't Tell You" post.
Lauren
Lauren has the CUTEST blog, and she also has a print shop that I'm in love with. But to go with her blog, she posts the cutest pictures on Instagram, and I'm obsessed with her and her whole work ethic/creativity.

10 Things About Me
I've been lacking in the post area lately, and I haven't had much inspiration (even though I have a little book just for writing down blog ideas) so I decided to make this post a 10 facts about me as kind of a filler until I get some inspiration.
1. I'm a theatre major at a small state school in north western PA (we're about an hour north of Pittsburgh).
2. My emphasis is in acting, but I recently realized how much I love acting, so there's a good chance that once I finish my undergrad here I'll go to grad school for directing.
3. I have two dachshunds (they're sisters) and they're basically my children.
4. I'm a caffeine addict. I can't help myself. Coffee and Red Bull are my lovers.
5. My weaknesses are chocolate covered strawberries, salted carmel mochas, and Reese's Pieces.
6. I love being busy. It actually keeps me happier always having something to do. Having too much down time drives me CRAZY.
7. I'm truly a hopeless romantic, but I have a hard time focusing on one person.
8. I'm at least 8 different ethnicities (my parents have at least 3-4 in their families)
9. I treat my Apple products and my camera like my babies.
10. THIS WAS THE HARDEST POST IN THE WORLD

Friday Faves!
So I'm gonna be honest, I didn't realize it was friday until I went through my blog feed today and saw a bunch of Friday Five posts.
#oops
So without further ado, let us begin!
So, you can probably sense a theme here (because there is one). My first three faves are Vera Bradley products, because I'm obsessed with Vera (working there last holiday season didn't help!). I've literally lost track of how many Vera products I own. There's at least over 20.
1
I LOVE this wristlet (this is my second one). It has four card slots that actually hold a lot of cards. They could probably hold up to four cards per slot. There's also a large zippered pocket on the other side of the wristlet for coins and paper money. But what else is nice is the amount of room on the inside because the bottom expands to fit your phone, keys, and a lipstick or two. (The pattern is Plum Crazy [my signature pattern] but I have another one in Provencal)
2
Going a lot with the Plum Crazy theme, I also have this lanyard to hold all my keys and rewards cards. One nice thing about these lanyards is the actual ring is very sturdy, and there's also a clip to hold change purses or whatever else you want to clip onto the lanyard.
3
This isn't the color that I have, but I actually couldn't find the one I have on the website anymore (and it's not even THAT old!) The color I have is Lime's Up, and I have a couple of things in this pattern. This sleeve is nice because it keeps my MacBook nice and safe with all the padding and it even has a little pocket inside to hold cds or whatever else you can fit into the pocket.
4
I'm obsessed with Renee Fleming (as a complete choir nerd how can't I be) and I was more than excited when I heard that she was singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl this past weekend. I mean she was literally the only reason why I watched the Super Bowl (then of course turned it off when she was done). Long story short, they should just have classically trained singers sing the National Anthem at sporting events.

Reese's Pieces
I mean, unless you're allergic to peanuts, why wouldn't you love these son of a guns.
No explanation necessary!
What did you guys love this week?

Why Are We Here?
I was browsing my Facebook newsfeed today (and anyone who knows me knows I HATE Facebook, too much drama) and I always see the same things that just drive me crazy. Crazy enough that if I see you do this, I'm automatically deleting you because I don't need that kind of negativity in my life. I have a few different circles of friends; there's the Performance Major friends (music, dance, theatre), there's all the people I went to high school with, people that I go to school with now, and my family. Now moving on to the point of this post.
The one thing that I can not stand is when people bash arts majors for doing what they do. I specifically know one guy who tries to make us feel like bad people. He has literally said "Why are you wasting so much money on school when you're not doing anything productive?" and "It's cool that you do that, but I don't have any respect for you."
I'm sorry that I'm not an Engineering major, or an accounting major or even an Athletic Training major, but why can't my major be important? I may just be an actor and a designer, but I'm doing what I love. I'm going to have more experiences traveling and meeting so many different people than you are sitting at your desk all day. I may not make a lot of money at first, but that doesn't matter to me.
I have another friend who is an accounting major ONLY for the money that comes out of the career. He doesn't care about the field at all. He just wants the money. That's not what college is about! College is supposed to be about pursuing what you want to be in life. We all have had dreams about our careers, college is where it happens! No body should have to feel that they aren't worth anything just because they don't have a fancy major. I have a ton of Music Education friends, and we all know that with state budget cuts that it is a ridiculously hard field to find work in right now. But that doesn't matter. It's what we're passionate about, it's what we love. And that's all that matters.
Snow Day Catch Up
If you're a student of Slippery Rock University, today is a historic day for you. Due to the amount of snow fall and the ice that followed, SRU closed down campus for the third time in FORTY years. The last time the University closed down was 1991 and I couldn't feel more relieved. After two and a half straight weeks of being on campus from 11 am to 10 pm, and then rehearsals on weekends, it feels great to have a day off to breathe and catch up on things.
I'm also happy because last week I talked to some friends about getting an apartment together, and yesterday we signed the lease! I'm so excited to start this new chapter in my life and actually be on my own.
Lately I've been contemplating the idea of changing my blog name/URL to something simpler but I've hit a mental road block. If you guys have any suggestions please let me know!

Friday Faves!
Hello, Darlings! It's that time of week again...
Here's what I loved for the final week of January!
1
Okay so this is kind of cheating because I always love infinity scarves, but in these frigid temperatures, they're perfect especially the super thick ones because you can also cover part of your face with it and it keeps you super warm!
2
I LOVE this case. I've actually had it for a while, but I keep going back to it because you can keep just the necessities in the pocket and not have to worry about having your wallet on you at all times like when you go to class or to a party. I usually keep my Drivers License, debit card and Starbucks card in it, plus you can fit a few bills in with it.
3
This is one of my favorite water bottles. I don't know what it is, but some water bottles make me drink water faster, and this is one of them (this and my Camelbak). This isn't my exact bottle, but I'll post a picture below!
These bottles hold 32 ounces of water, so I know if I drink 2 full bottles than I've had at least the minimum amount of water I need for the day (here's an easy way to remember how much water you should drink: 1/2 your body weight in ounces (if you weigh 125 lbs, you need to drink at least 63 ounces of water a day. this way you get exactly what you need for your exact weight)
4
I actually found out about this product from fellow blogger (and personal friend) Jocelyn, and I absolutely love it. I had always been looking for a new powder that actually looks natural and doesn't make my face look too dry but make my face super oily. This product is great because it keeps my skin super soft all day long and it really helps to cover any small blemishes.

As you all know (if you've read my blog before), I'm in a serious relationship with caffeine and Starbucks. And my Gold Card makes that relationship 10x better. You qualify for gold when you register any Starbucks gift card on line and earn 30 stars in one year. I got my card February of 2013 after only having my regular card since August. What I really love about it is you get special deals loaded onto your card once or twice a month, and every 12 stars you earn you get a free drink or food item! You also get a free birthday drink/treat!
